The U.S. and some other western countries have always regarded the color revolution as an important strategic means to weaken and contain Russia. In order to achieve the purpose of continuosly squeezing Russia's traditional sphere of influence and interrupting Russia's revival process, they have repeatedly instigated color revolutions in countries like Georgia, Ukranie and Kyrgystan targeted directly at Russia under the ruling of Putin. After returning to the Kremlin, Putin identified the color revolution as the most important challenge to the security of the resigne.
