When the cold war came to an end in the 1990s, it was believed by some western scholars that wich the end of the cold war, ideological development of mankind would come to the terminal point. However, the end of the cold war did not mean that international political struggles would ease, nor did it mean that western countries foreign policies would be freed from the influence of ideological factors. In the new geopolitical landscape of the 21 century, ideology in foreign strategies of the United States and other western countries still serves as the banner and slogan for the expansion of their national interests, providing a moral and theoretical defense for their global strategic expansion. At the same time, due to the differences between the third world countries and the western developed countries in geographic locations, geopolitical environments and development stages, and compounded by the infiltration of non traditional security factors such as economy, cultura and information, the ieological struggle between the third world countries and western countries has appeared to be more complicated and multi faceted |
