In 2020, Russia faced a more complicated and severer situation, both internal and external, amid the combined impact of the covid 19 pandemic, external sanctions, and surrounding disturbances. Under this situation, Russia introduced constitutional reforms at home as part of an effort to continuously cement regime security and strengthen social governance, and pacified neighborhood chaos with an eye on stabilizing the systems of allies and safeguarding geographical interests, thus ensuring a stable and controllable internal and external situation on the whole. At the same time, there was little improvement in Russia's relations with the U.S. and Europe, and the allround confrontation between them the remained fierce
