The Nagorno- Karabakh war between Armenia and Azerbaijan in 2020 once again shows the supperposition of the characteristics of multiple generations of wars. Such a mix reflects the characteristics of the time, in which war is trasitioned from mechanized one to information-based one and the transition is inadeqquate and incomplete while technological progress also promotes the information-based war to evolve to its higher form intelligent war. This article tries to reproduce the main operation process of this war and reveal the possible patterns and development trends of wars under modern conditions through studying the lessons learnt from the two warring parties in the military operations
